Chicco Echo Stroller is a stroller for active mothers. With it’s dimensions 82 x 47 x 108 centimeters and weight 8 kilograms, you can use this stroller almost wherever you want and take it to any place. It’s forward facing and suitable for newborn children up to 15 kilograms. With adjustable leg rest and padded, 4-position reclining back rest, the pram is very comfortable for your child. Soft-touch handgrips make long walks comfortable for your hands, because we all know how fast you can get tired and uncomfortable with poorly designed handles. The front wheels have a lock feature, so it is easy to keep the stroller in place should the need arise. You can be confident about safety of this pushchair, because it has a 5-point safety harness and padded shoulder straps. It also comes with a rain cover, which is always useful in the UK where it seems to always rain! On the rare chance that the sun comes out, the pram has a hood which provides some much needed shade for your baby. It also comes with a shopping basket.
For holiday and trip use, they are perfect, light and easy to transport, but for long-term, everyday use, you should consider looking for something more durable.
Let's start with the ease of assembly. Unlike other models, there is no assembly involved as it already comes assembled in the manufacturers box. Personally, for me, it would be no problem to assemble it, but if you don`t own a screwdriver set, then this is a relief.
It has a big basket for shopping and anything else you may be carrying, so you don’t have to carry a bag of groceries in one hand, and push the stroller with the other one if you’re out and about doing some shopping.
This stroller has a 30-day guarantee, so if there are any faults, you can exchange it with no complications.
This stroller embodies all typical qualities that characterise these kinds of lightweight strollers - it`s simple, light and you can easily place it in the car boot (I even read that it can be put in the boot of a Peugeot 206, which is a really small car).
As convincing, as the manufacturer is in describing this as a very roomy pram, the reality is that these kinds of strollers are usually much smaller than you might think from the descriptions and pictures on the internet.
Also, many have found that the back support is too short in length, particularly for taller babies.
Furthermore, you need to be careful when you are stopping the stroller quickly or inclining the back support because if the baby is not strapped in, then he/she may fall forward out of the pram because there is no bumper bar like in other models.
Also, the sun hood is somewhat short and might not give much protection, so maybe consider buying additional sun umbrella.
Also, this is a lightweight stroller, made out of aluminum bars, which might have a tendency to bend over time or from too much weight should your baby exceed 15kg.
In the conclusion, I would like to say that this is a great quality product, as a Chicco, and would be highly suitable for holidays and, especially, car trips. But beware, because of the missing bumper bar, always secure your child with straps, for his/her safety. It is a nice, lightweight stroller and is a perfect fit for short trips to the supermarket and other leisure activities.
