Five point safety harness
Liteway Stroller is a six-wheel stroller by Italian company Chicco, who have been in the business of creating baby products for 58 years. This is a compact, lightweight, forward facing stroller with an easy folding function and five point harness feature. It is suitable for children from birth to max. 15 kilograms/ 3 years. It’s dimensions are 87.5 x 46.5 x 103 centimetres and it weights 7 kilograms. You can put the back support in 5 different positions for maximum comfort. Moreover, you can lock the front swivel wheels and it has linked rear brakes too for top quality safety. There are 6 different colors avaliable and this stroller has been named the best lightweight stroller in 2013, by Loved By Parents. It includes shopping basket, raincover and a foot muff. Also, it has a non-slip handgrips and adjustable leg rest.
The pram is sturdy and despite the lower level of robustness of lightweight strollers, it will serve you for some time, if you take care of it (sometimes even taking the time to oil the wheels even), which is a testament to the quality of the product.
It is really compact when you fold it and won’t take up much space in your car's boot if you are taking it with you on a road trip.
Also, the pram is really well designed for maneuverering through tight spots unlike other models in the same category.
It comes with a foot muff which can be zipped with the leg cover. It is a great feature, because you can take it off, in the summer, when it is not needed and put it back on in the winter, for more warmth and protection.
First of all, I think that safety is the one of the most important thing you have to look for when buying a pram, because your baby is very vulnerable in his/her first year. One of the key components of safety in stroller is the five point harness, but the bad part is that it is not adjustable. It really should be, because depending on the size of the baby, the lack of adjustability may render the straps uncomfortable if too tight or redundant from a safety standpoint if they are too loose.
It has a leg rest that can be dragged upwards, allowing your child to put his feet on it and try to stand up, which may lead to an accident if you did not fasten the safety straps on the pram.
Also, there is a problem with the hood of the stroller, it can not be mounted easily.
The stroller has no pockets for keys, change and stuff like that, which are useful features of other models.
This is a highly acclaimed pram and the fact that it has been rated in the top 3 strollers for couple of years speaks volumes. If you use it for a run to the store or for a walk on the pavement, it will serve you very well.
